Logic Gone Sane

Sometimes, the sense of the words in comic strips is sheerly brilliant, full of insight and unexpected invention. Logic gone sane. Here are a couple that dance to that tune.

Where else, really, would you find bread crumbs? In the grocery store? In a plastic bag of bread crumbs? C’mon: who needs that when you have a toaster.

And Grampa Pickles makes logic look easy.

Even when, as in our next example, he does what can only be done in a comic strip.

And our first example is but a reprise of something Earl and Opal did months ago–i.e., the second example. Evidently Brian Crane can’t leave it alone. I’m glad he didn’t.

Our next visual aid isn’t something that can be done only in a comic strip. But it’s fun and has a logic that’s irrefutable.

In Baldo, we go back to the towering invention of getting bread crumbs out of a toaster. Same kind of logic. Would that we all were possessed of the secret. Wouldn’t the world be a better place then?
