Recently I visited the new incarnation of Serieteket, Sweden’s only speciality library for comics, enjoying a presentation by the ever energetic library manager Kristiina Kolehmainen. Serieteket has been around for 15 years and is a unique establishment in the Northern part of Europe. All other Nordic countries now have speciality libraries for comics, but Serieteket was first, and has been the model for almost all the others.

It all looks really good, with new, very special furniture, new ways of organising the books and a new locale on the second floor of the big Culture House in the middle of Stockholm. All of you who has ever been tp SPX Stockholm, knows about Serieteket, which is the main organizer of this event. If you haven’t been there yet, it is an experience (both the festival and the library). Thsi year, it’s on the 5-8 of May. More info here.
